The Beckett Cypher The Committee – Book 2

The Beckett Cypher The Committee – Book 2 is being edited as I write this post.  The team takes cryptography to a new level as they work to understand the Cypher, and take advantage of the secrets it will reveal.  They add two more cryptography experts, both versed in encryption and decryption, charged with identifying the secret Cypher text that will  allow decryption of the Beckett Case files.

Twists and turns in the plot leave the reader anxious to turn the page and stumble in to a new love story, or a development in the search for the Cypher, or the identity of members of The Committee.  As a reader, you will grow to love the canine friends added to the team in Book 2, each with their own distinct personality and entertaining traits.

The team will also make maximum use of resources in the country as they travel from coast to coast pursuing leads, while they attempt to stay one step ahead of drug cartels and the shadow government trying to intercept them.

You won’t want to miss the continuing saga, as Shane, Kate, Walter, Juanita, Pete, Tasha, Heath, Hector and the rest of the cast struggle to stay alive, as they balance love, life and criminal investigation in the search for truth about the connections between drug cartels and The Committee!

The Beckett Cypher, The Committee – Book 2 nearly finalized!

As we finalize story-line changes and edits in the The Beckett Cypher, The Committee – Book 2, I am excited to tell you I am very pleased with the results.  Current events couldn’t be much more aligned with the track the second novel takes, as fiction parallels and even predicts current reality, reported in world events each day.

In Book 2, our characters from The Beckett Cypher, The Case – Book 1 are faced with even more demanding challenges, as they struggle to balance commitments to love, family and relationships against the strains and dangers encountered while solving The Case.  Intrigue builds as our team discovers The Committee and begins to unravel the mystery surrounding this secretive group, while avoiding detection that could bring certain destruction.

Love blossoms for some of our team, while heartache and tragedy loom for others.  Mystery deepens in many areas, as discovery leads to more questions and unknowns.  Our team forms unlikely alliances, proving Shakespeare’s adage that “politics makes strange bed fellows,” while we also discover that the ancient proverb, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend,” is not always true!

In Book 2 I also introduce 2 new canine friends, one appearance gifted to us by a family member and the other by a friend who is family, to me.  These furry friends, Sophia Maria and Jago, will tug at the strings of your heart as they entertain you with their personality and antics.  Man’s best friends are so individual, entertaining and creative that I am resisting the urge to add to their characters.  Instead, I will try to present our guest “stars” personalities just as they are, or were, in real life, to honor them and their real-life families.

I hope you enjoy the anticipated wait for The Beckett Cypher, The Committee – Book 2, and the subsequent read, as much as I am enjoying the creation!

The past year and a half has been a fun, exciting, and occasionally painful journey, creating the Beckett Cypher series of novels.  As with any child born of a vision and passion, sometimes the journey brought bumps and unexpected turns, and a new path had to be chosen.  There were hundreds of corrections and changes.  But in the end, as with life, the result was better, stronger, and much more interesting!!  And now, holding the printed book in my hands and re-reading the final product, is like looking at the photograph of my long-imagined baby, now a full-grown adult, with a sense of accomplishment!  The first completed novel in the series, The Beckett Cypher, The Case – Book 1, was uploaded for purchase less than a month ago.  Reviews have been outstanding and the synergy for the second and third novels in the series is building!

The second novel in the series is The Beckett Cypher, The Committee – Book 2.  That journey is now coming to an end and the final product is being edited.  The Committee – Book 2 will be formatted and uploaded for purchase shortly.  This part of the saga takes Shane, Kate, Pete, Walter, Heath and all the other characters, further down the path to solve The Case, as they encounter the force behind the crimes and conspiracies of the past…The Committee.  Their journey is a difficult, dangerous and exciting ride into a modern world that is still unfolding before our very eyes, in every day news.  This world is full of corruption, crime, love, intrigue and shadow governments, initially formed through the loose affiliation we first recognized as the deep state. Current events will continue to play out through The Beckett Cypher series, in the coming novels, as our fictional characters navigate the dangers and intrigue that layer their journey.

As a teaser to the novels yet to come, I direct your attention to Bentley, a dog in The Case – Book 1.  Bentley is my dog in real life and is pictured in the About The Author section, inside the back cover of The Case – Book 1.  Future novels will include the characters and photographs of real-life pets as they play their fictional roles in my novels.  These guest “stars” will be collected from family, friends and readers, as the series progresses.  I hope you appreciate my passion for blending fiction with reality featuring these pets, just as I have borrowed characters from my real life and projected them in to my novels, changing the names and situations to protect the innocent!

If you become a fan and wish your pet included in a novel, please contact me and send me a photograph, personality traits and your pet’s name, with a statement authorizing use of your friend’s story in a novel.  I’ll do the rest!

My hope is that as we make this journey together, you enjoy the reading experience as much as I did writing it!
